Speech Pathologist

At Malaika we will connect you with wide range of speech pathologists they will highly study, diagnose and treat communication disorders, including difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social skills, stuttering and using voice. 

They work with people who have difficulty communicating because of developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, learning disability, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, dementia and hearing loss, as well as other problems that can affect speech and language. People who experience difficulties swallowing food and drink safely can also be helped by a speech pathologist.


Nursing Team

Our nursing staff are completely experienced giving you the confidence that we can manage your personal situation of care, whilst providing your family with comfort that you are safe and well at home.  Our experience includes, but is not limited to a range of clinical conditions and the use of the latest technologies including hoist management and usage, assisted technologies and maintenance as well as all general clinical support.

Whether it’s caring for you to support your high care 24/7 needs or giving you peace of mind for daily care offering support with medication or personal needs, we will help you continue to remain in control while living independently in your own home.

  • Family counseling is often sought due to a life change or stress negatively affecting one or all areas of family closeness, family structure (rules and roles) or communication style.

Our physiotherapists work with people of all ages who need support to improve their strength, movement and flexibility so they can achieve their goals. Our professional physiotherapist often work as part of a therapy team to provide support that meets the person’s needs and those of their family members and carers. 

Our physiotherapist will conduct an assessments to look at how someone moves around their home and community in their daily lives. This includes assessments of how their body functions, such as strength of muscles, joint movement, endurance or fitness and balance.

  • Our physiotherapist team can make recommendations that would make moving around at home and in their local community easier.

  • Malaika physio therapist team will also be abe to prescribe a mobility equipment to help people stand, walk or move around more easily or independently within their home, school or local community. This can be anything from a walking stick to a highly specialised walking frame or wheelchair.

  • tailoring exercises to help improve your mobility, skill level, muscle strength, flexibility, fitness so that they are able to achieve their goals.


Occupation Therapist

Our occupational therapists work with those living with a disability to manage everyday occupations to establish independence and improve their quality of lifestyle. We have a wide range of professions working in the community and hospital settings, our OTs provide assistance through developing programs of support within a client’s personal network as well as prescribing aids and environmental modifications. 

At Malaika family Care our general aim of occupational therapy treatment is to improve patients’ quality of life by developing techniques and strategies to assist with the tasks that patients engage in during everyday life. Every patient has different wants, needs and expectations when it comes to achieving a positive occupational therapy result, and our occupational therapists are trained to take clients variability into account when they are developing treatment programs.
